This is a collection of poetic, visual fantasies, with an Asian aesthetic and an environmental message.The monotypes emerged from experimentation with novel processes featuring encaustic paint.Drawing and textural methods in the printing process combine qualities of abstraction, fantasy and the delicate patterns seen in nature. Some images reveal enigmatic figures, with a watchful presence, keepers of the natural realm. Trees, plants, roots, cells, flowing, watery reflections appear intransitional color fields which speakto the passage of time, growth and decay and light and shadow.
