The Burning Bush Collection was born during the pandemic, when painting trees outside my studio window and in my garden became a pastime. As weeks went by I came to re-imagine them as burning bushes - one of my favorite themes - and I found them more sustaining. These small, oil and cold wax paintings became a source of experimentation with heightened color, texture and incorporation of gold leaf. Their sense of joyful energy represents inspiration to renew and heal.
